About Me

Liv D'Elia is a portrait and travel photographer from Watertown, CT. She has been a photographer for 9+ years and has traveled far and wide, to places including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, UK, Alaska, and more. Her work encompasses a vast variety of landscapes, people, and subjects around the world. She shares her work in hopes to inspire people to face their fears and experience life at its fullest. When she travels to new highly visited places, she always aims to photograph recognizable landscapes in a unique way. It’s a challenge to look at buildings such as the Eiffel Tower and think, how can she photograph this highly photographed monument in a unique way, and how can she take a photo to connect the viewer to the memory and experience that she had in this place?

The Collection

This collection of photos was selected based on the background and aesthetic of Provisions State Coffee in Berlin. The name comes from our states history. George Washington declared Connecticut the Provisions State as we provided the most supplies to his army.

A selection of these photos are from our beautiful region, New England. I cherish it entirely and want to remind us that New England is a lovely and special place to be. The other photos are a reminder that there is a world outside of our bubble and we should take the opportunity to explore.

Serenity on The Sound

2020, Long Island Sound

In 2020 my family and I took a trip on my brother's boat for my Mom’s 55th birthday. I remember it was her 55th, because she kept saying “Double Nickels”. It wasn’t a glorious day on the Sound. It was foggy, gloomy, but still a relaxing ride. Naturally I had my camera, and snapped this photo of the water. It’s become one of my favorite photos as it’s very soothing and I am drawn to water. Many people view it as abstract because it’s hard to identify. I’ll always be reminded of my mom’s birthday and the beautiful lunch we had that day.

The Bluffs

2020, Block Island, Rhode Island.

Despite 2020 being filled with isolation, lack of adventure and a new wave of change, I managed to explore and create. In August of 2020 I visited Block Island for the first time. In 90 degrees, with a mask, on a bike! I always heard of The Bluffs, seen photos, and wondered if it was truly a place that existed just a few hours and a ferry ride from home. The walkway down is a view similar to European coastlines. Breathtaking

Milford Sound, New Zealand

2018

Many of these photos are a collection of places, times, experiences, where I was incredibly dumbfounded, couldn't believe my eyes, grateful. The Milford Sound is certainly on that list. The Milford Sound is a fiord in the South Island of New Zealand. Featuring waterfalls, massive mountains and eerie fog.

Black Rock State Park

2020, New Haven, CT

A simply beautiful landscape of New England at it's finest. During sunset, at peak foliage. Aren't we so lucky to live in a place that gives us such a beautiful show every year?

New Zealand Blues

Just another one of those, "dumbfounded" moments. Normally I gravitate towards warm tones, but New Zealand's blue toned landscape will always catch my eye.
