The summer photography season has been so so incredible.

I've been reflecting a lot on how grateful I am to be full-time this season. A lot has happened in May and June, so let's recap!

MAY:

MAY was filled with lots of weddings, sessions and events in my personal life!

-Starting off I got to celebrate my Godfather, Val, who received an award through the New Haven Providence College Alumni Club. This was so special because I graduated from PC in 2019.

-I had 4! amazing grad sessions this season

-On May 11th, I had my first wedding of the season. Leigh + AJ tied the knot at L'Escale, Delamar in Greenwich.

-The following weekend I had Grace + Sean's wedding at Wyndcrest Estates in Bethlehem.

-On Memorial Day weekend I drove to Providence College for a family session then attended Boston Calling music festival

-Many amazing things happened in May, this was just the highlight.

JUNE

June was a tough mental month to get through. I experienced a lot of life changes, while working through a busy month of work. It went by so fast, but I'm proud of myself for pushing through! As a solo business owner, it's extremely hard to push through work when you are dealing with lots of different emotions. It feels so overwhelming when you have to keep working, when you feel like you can barely work on yourself.

While a lot of bigs things shifted, I am also excited about moving forward through new exciting changes and hope that in a few months I will have a clear head.

Here are some positive things that happened :)

-In June I MOVED! I can't believe it's already been a month in my new place. I moved from Fairfield back to my hometown, Watertown. I'm living in my own space for the first time, EVER. I have my own office and I'm slowly making it into my dream space. It's been so nice being closer to my friends and family. Most of my weddings and session locations are closer as well, which equates to less traveling time and more business growth :)

-Between sessions and weddings I also attended one of my best friends weddings at the Riverview in Simsbury. I lovee to dress up and spend time with my closest friends! Congrats to Kyrstyn and Nando.

-On the 7th, I made a quick round trip for my college reunion, followed by my first June wedding back at the Wyndcrest Estates in Bethlehem for Meaghan + Tim. I've known Meaghan since high school from growing up in the same area. This wedding was SO fun, and I got to join the party after I finished shooting.

-I've had many sessions this month that I can't wait to share! Featuring a maternity session and a newborn in home session from return clients. I'm growing to love anything revolving babies recently!! I had a total of 4 family sessions this month and loved every second.

-Attended my friend Helena's fundraising event for her Dia De Los Muertos event in November. Pratt Street in Hartford is underrated. I displayed and sold my photography prints. I met a bunch of incredibly supportive people and was so happy to support my friend.

-Although I didn't have a vacation planned out this season, I impulsively popped over to London with my mom for 3 days to see Taylor Swift and explore the city. This was so special. I'll make a whole blog post about this soon!
