If I could share every image from this Mystic CT wedding I would. This day was absolutely perfect and I love every moment and image!!
Morgan and Matt's wedding day started off at the Steamboat Inn in downtown Mystic, CT. They shared their first look on the dock behind the inn before we started walking around downtown Mystic to take more couple photos. We then moved over to the Mystic River Bascule Bridge. Morgan and Matt wanted to take photos in front of the bridge while it was raised and I was so down for the challenge. Around 1:40, the bridge opened, and we ran into the street, in front of the bridge. I instructed them on how to dip earlier, so I positioned them and told them to go!
This was the most exhilarating experience I have had as a wedding photographer. All the car traffic was stopped, of course. But not one person crossed the street while we were taking photos. I will never forget looking behind me and seeing Matt and Morgan being cheered on by 100s of people who patiently let us have our time🥰 I’m so grateful that I was able to be a part of this gorgeous day and capture it for these two. Mystic or any water set New England town always pulls at my heart strings.
After this 10/10 moment, we headed to the Mystic Yachting Club for the ceremony, family photos, bridal party photos, cocktail hour and the reception. The ceremony overlooked the beautiful marina and the weather was absolutely perfect. Cocktail hour featured a beautiful charcuterie table, fresh seafood and drinks.
The reception space was TO DIE FOR!! It is truly one of my favorite venues because of how beautiful the light and the big windows are. It created for the most unique first dance photos I've ever taken!
